Champagne Lancelot-Pienne
Cramant, Champagne
Located in Cramant, in the heart of the Côte des Blancs, Champagne Lancelot-Pienne is today run by Julien Lancelot, representing the fifth generation of the family. An agricultural engineer and oenologist, he joined the estate after several experiences in Champagne, Bordeaux, the Rhône Valley, and abroad.
The vineyard covers approximately nine hectares spread over several dozen plots, notably in Cramant, Chouilly, and Avize, but also on the southern slopes of Épernay and in the Marne Valley. This diversity allows the estate to work with the three main Champagne grape varieties, with a central place given to Chardonnay on the grand crus of the Côte des Blancs.
For several years, the parcel work has been strengthened to better distinguish the different origins, exposures, and soil types. The vinification thus adapts to each location and each harvest, with the ambition of preserving the precision, freshness, and identity of the terroirs in the different champagnes of the estate.
